教授，现任北京第二外语学院酒店管理学院院长、中国旅游研究院饭店产业研究基地主任，为北京市长城学者计划人选，北京市教学名师，“21世纪人才强教”北京市优秀中青年骨干教师，旅游管理学科学术带头人。担任国外顶级旅游与饭店学术刊物如Annals of Tourism Research、Tourism Management、International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management、Journal of Travel & Tourism Marketing、Journal of China Tourism Research 及国内主要旅游刊物《旅游学刊》、《中国旅游饭店》、《现代饭店》等编委，北京市女教授协会理事、欧美同学会饭店业专家委员会副主任，亚太旅游协会（APTA）中国代表，澳大利亚旅游与酒店教育国际中心专家委员会成员，国家级饭店星评员。 

    主要教育背景包括中国人民大学产业经济学博士、中国人民大学企业管理硕士、澳大利亚维多利亚大学（前Footscray Institute of Technology）旅游与酒店管理研究生，浙江大学（前杭州大学）旅游经济管理学士。为美国休斯顿大学希尔顿酒店管理学院访问学者，香港理工大学访问教授。

主要研究成果：

    发表《饭店新型业态理论与实践》、Tourism in China、《饭店集团案例库：中国卷》、《饭店集团案例库：国际卷》、《饭店管理理论与应用研究》、《旅游危机管理》、《国外著名饭店集团管理精要》、《旅游市场营销》、《饭店营销学》、《国际饭店管理》等30多部专著和教材。在Tourism Management、Cornell Hospitality Quarterly、International Journal of Hospitality management、《南开管理评论》等国内外学术期刊发表近百篇学术论文，其中SSCI期刊10多篇，根据国际学者的研究，目前为大陆在海外发表论文数量最多的旅游学者 。同时，获北京市哲学社会科学优秀成果奖、国家旅游局优秀科研成果奖、北京市优秀教学成果奖等省部级奖多项，主持和承担国家级和省部级项目10多项和国家旅游局、北京市旅游委员会、中国旅游饭店业协会、首旅集团、港中旅集团等机构大量研究课题。

    Huimin Gu is Professor and Dean, School of Hospitality Management at Beijing International Studies University; Director of China Hospitality Industry Research Base, China Tourism Academy, CNTA, National Hotel Rating Committee Member. She won the title of Beijing Great Wall Scholar Plan, Beijing Famous Teacher, Excellent Young Teacher of Beijing, 21^st Century Core Middle-age and Young Teacher of Beijing, 21^st Century Member of Innovation Group of Beijing etc. She authored and translated 10 books including Hotel Chains inChina, International Hotel Chains, Tourism inChina, Tourism Crisis Management, Hotel Management Theory & Practice, Tourism Marketing etc. She also published more than 60 academic papers in international and domestic journals including Tourism Management, Cornell Hospitality Quarterly, International Journal of Hospitality management, Journal of Vacation Marketing, Tourism Analysis, Nankai Management Review (China), Tourism Tribune (China).  Her research concentration is Hotel and new types of hospitality industry investment and management, corporate social responsibility and sustainable hospitality, hospitality branding and international management. Among Chinese tourism & hospitality scholars, She ranked No 1 in international journal publication at the moment.

   Dr. Gu is well respected throughout the hotel and tourism industry inChina. She is the National Hotel Star Rating committee member of CNTA, Vice Director of China Tourist hotel Association Vice Director of Expert Committee inChina’s Hotel Industry, Western Returned Scholars Association,China, Member of Expert Committee, Academy of China Productivity. She is the Coordinating editor of Annals of Tourism Research, consulting editor of Tourism Management(UK), International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management(USA), Journal of Travel & Tourism Marketing, Journal of China Tourism Research,  Tourism Management (China), Hotel Modernlization (China), China Tourist Hotels (China). She is theChinarepresentative of Asia Pacific Travel Association, International Council of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education (I-CHRIE). She used to work as a senior lecturer, Shangri-la Hotel Management Training Center, Holiday Inn Training Center inChina.

   Dr.Gu holds a doctorate in Industrial Economics from Renmin University of China, a master’s degree in Management from Renmin University of China, a Post Graduate Diploma in Tourism & Hospitality Administration from Victoria University, Australia and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Zhejiang   University,China. She was a visiting professor of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, visiting scholar of Hilton College, University   of Houston,USA.
