  Dr. Ma Junhong, associate Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, has a Ph.D. from Tsinghua University (2011). She joined the school  of Interpreting and Translation of BISU in February of 2011.

Her academic interest falls on cultural studies and translation, British literature (the period from 19th to 20th century) and American eco-literature, with special interests in ecocriticism. She has published an academic work “Country and City in the Age of Industrial Civilization----Ecocriticism on Dickens, Hardy and D.H. Lawrence” (2013), essays on translation studies and literature in English and Chinese, including: “Life and Love---Thoreau’s Life Philosophy on Man and Nature in the Age of Industrialization”, “Studies on the Translation of American Eco-literature in China”, “Eco-awareness and Ecocritical Responsibility: An Interview with Professor Scott Slovic”, “Studies on Teaching Methodology and Management of BTI an MTI from the dual perspective”, “ Localization, Globalization, and Traveling Chinese Culture”, etc. In addition, she translated parts of Encyclopedia of Globalization, Literary Theory of Chinese Realism, and some academic essays.
